Textile Hardware Setting Basics

Learn how to use the heavy-duty hardware setting equipment Ace Makerspace has in Textiles. This equipment is simple but also simple to get wrong. This is a certification workshop! This includes hands-on practice and not just theory!

Students will learn:
- Overview of tools and hardware types
- How to use specialty dies
- How to choose hardware for different projects
- Tips to keep everything in working order
- How to set snaps, rivets, and grommets in fabric and leather
- All materials and hardware provided!
- Requires three students to run.
Class Scholarship Available
We have a limited set of scholarships available for this class, funded in part by the other student fees. If you need a scholarship for this class, please submit this request form 24 hours before the event.

Refunds, Transfers, or Credits are only offered if the class is canceled. We do not offer credits, transfers, or refunds for student cancelations. You can offer your seat for sale to others (use the comments). You are solely responsible for those transactions & letting us know who is taking your spot.
Late Arrival Policy
Arriving on time to class is very important.
For certification classes we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past the start time you will be unable to attend that day and your class fee is forfeit. For non-certification classes, your ability to participate will be based on instructor discretion.
