Instructor / Teaching Artist / Fabricator
Reports to: Executive Director
Part-Time: 24 hours per/week
Compensation: $20-$25 per/hour DOE

Position Summary
Put your art skills, experience, and enthusiasm to work by teaching others. As an instructor in the Ace Makerspace community, you will be part of disrupting systems of privilege and creating equitable access to technology, tools, and more.
Duties include setup, instruction, strike, and prototype making. Ace will provide curriculum and workshop content, space, materials, etc. Teaching artists will be teaching between 2 and 6 regular classes per month. Classes are taught on weekends between 9am and 7 pm and on weekday evenings starting at about 6 pm, and occasional weekday lunchtime short classes. Most Classes have between 6 and 12 students, depending on tool availability.
Compensation: $20-$25 per hour*
Schedule:
- Must be available to teach 2-6 regular classes per month
- Most classes take place on weekends between 9AM and 7PM and weekday evenings after 6:00PM. Occasional short, lunchtime, weekday classes

Textiles / Craft Teacher / Art Teacher
Are you brave enough for glitter? Does helping folks relax and create free from projects thrill you? This might be the role for you. Core sewing, leatherworking, drawing, and painting skills are needed. Fabrication skill skills are a plus but training can be provided.

Metalworking Teacher
Ace has a lovely little machine shop, and we are looking for an instructor to help us make the shop accessible to newbies and experts alike. There is no true hot work involved as our building is cleared for it. Courses will be a combination of safety and basics as well as project-based classes like small copper sculpture.
CNC Fabrication Teacher
Ace has an excellent complement of CNC Fabrication equipment, including mills, wood routers, lasers, and 3D printers. Our next CNC Fabrication instructor will be teaching basics use (certification), design courses, and instructor-guided practice projects. Experience with traditional woodworking and metalworking tools is also needed.
