- Help keep the laser in good working condition for all laser users – completing maintenance is a great way to make your monthly contribution!
*How Certification Works:
- Take this class.
- After the class, schedule a time to perform a complete maintenance on the laser with a Team Laser buddy who can observe and answer any questions that you have while you’re performing the maintenance.
- Perform complete maintenance on the Laser with a Team Laser buddy observing (you can rinse and repeat steps 2 and 3 until you feel confident).

All attendees must have completed and signed liability paperwork. If you are purchasing a ticket for someone else, please send them this link to finish the sign up process.
Age Guidelines and Youth Forms
Youth guests taking classes must be accompanied by an adult chaperone and have completed youth guest forms filled out by a parent or guardian. See class descriptions for age guidelines. Youth guests may take our certification classes but cannot use tools without an adult also certified to use the tool. Tickets for Sliding Scale Events
Our social and open lab events are supported by donations with no one turned away for lack of funds. Events like these have two ticket types to choose from when you register:
SUPPORT tickets allow you to contribute to the event when you RSVP
FREE tickets are available for folks who need financial support to access events like these or for folks interested in contributing on site at the event. We do not require an application for our FREE tickets, but if you can make a contribution we encourage you to do so.
Class Scholarships
Our pricing structure supports a limited number of scholarships reserved for students in need of financial assistance. We grant scholarships on a first-come first serve basis with priority given to Ace Makerspace Members.
To apply for a scholarship please fill out this form.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Ace Makerspace reserves the right to cancel class for any reason including low enrollment or instructor illness. If class is canceled we will contact you via email and issue a full refund. Depending on course availability, you may also have the option to transfer your ticket to a future class.
We do not offer credits, transfers, or refunds for student cancellations. You can offer your ticket for sale to others in the comments or on slack. You are solely responsible for those transactions & letting us know who is taking your spot.
Late Arrival Policy
Arriving on time to class is very important.
For certification classes we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past the start time you will be unable to attend that day and your class fee is forfeit. For non-certification classes, your ability to participate will be based on instructor discretion.
Member Access to Space During Class
Ace Makerspace workshops where classes are taking place are closed for member use for the duration of that class. Exceptions will be made either directly in the event description or on a case by case basis at the discretion of the instructor. If you have a question about whether or not you can access the space during class time please message the instructor or post on slack.
Quiet Dibs
Loud tools like the planer and tools that require use of the cyclone dust collection system can disrupt classes in other workspaces. When an instructor requests “quiet dibs” for their class it means that some tool use will be limited during that time. Check slack when planning your time to see if an instructor has requested “quiet dibs.”
