Get started with sewing machines, common stitches, and hand sewing techniques in this 3 hour crash course! Masks are optional for this event.

Level: Beginner
Timing: 3 hours
Location: Coworking/Textiles suite 206
Certification: No certification
Age: 16+ with Adult

What you will learn:

  • Machine and hand sewing skills
  • Basic sewing machine parts
  • Threading the machine
  • Changing the needle
  • Bobbin winding
    • Stitch types for different fabrics
    • Common hand sewing techniques More hands-on sewing practice
    • Short sewing practice lessons, and take-home practice sheets
    • Troubleshooting

Class Scholarship Available
We have a limited set of scholarships available for this class, funded in part by the other student fees. We need to first sell 5 seats before the scholarship becomes available. If you need a scholarship for this class, please submit this request form 24 hours before the event.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds, Transfers, or Credits are only offered if the class is canceled. We do not offer credits, transfers, or refunds for student cancelations. You can offer your seat for sale to others (use the comments). You are solely responsible for those transactions & letting us know who is taking your spot.

Late Arrival Policy

Arriving on time to class is very important.

For certification classes we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past the start time you will be unable to attend that day and your class fee is forfeit. For non-certification classes, your ability to participate will be based on instructor discretion.
